Poop on the judiciary 2008

Elections: [Hi three people that read this blog!] Props to Foothill Cities Blog.

What may affect my day to day life more than a judge? A lot of things, people, and places, all of which I have little control. What I love is that in this great country of ours, even we crazed non-TV owning/watching voters can get a ballot mailed to our dump home. How insane is that? Me, local nut-riot, dowager, scamp gets a say in who sits on the bench. Aw, the demonics of democracy. Live it! Breathe it! So, here are my semi-delusional recommendations for judges, district attorney, and supervisor of the 5th Dimension:

Nonpartisan Judicial - Judge of the Superior Court

Office No. 3 (Whittier) - Daniel P. Ramirez (why?)

No. 4 (downtown) - Sydnee Singer (website) Go Redondo!

No. 35 (Pomona) - Juan Carlos Dominguez (Arnold agrees)

No. 41(West Covina) - Michael Villalobos (same reason as #3 and Loyola ‘83 + Geragos ‘82= law school snobbery)

No. 55 (Torrance) - Hector Guzman (compassion)

No. 69 (downtown) - Harvey Silberman (website)

No. 72 (downtown) - Steven Simons (private practice)

No. 82 (downtown) - Cynthia Loo (my neighbors)

No. 84 (downtown) - Lori-Ann Jones (website)

No. 94 (downtown) - C. Edward Mack (I like what I see here)

No. 95 (downtown) - Patricia Nieto (if Craig Huey doesn’t endorse her, she must be good)

No. 101 (Pomona) - Daniel Lopez (what?)

No. 102 (downtown) - I am not voting for this guy, even though he is unopposed. *see undervote

No. 119 (downtown) - Douglas Weitzman (even though he likes to write in all caps!)

No. 123 (downtown) - Allan Nadir or Kathleen Blanchard (anybody but NIXON!)

No. 125 (downtown) - James Bianco (hot)

No. 154 (Pomona) - Rocky L. Crabb (Endorsed by Sponge Bob & me)

Los Angeles County District Attorney

Steve Ipsen (the guy has guts- a careful read) Note: Cooley called the Robert Blake jury “stupid.” Knot.

Los Angeles County Supervisor 5th Dimension

Marilyn McCoo

That’s right, I support a singer from the seventies over a horse-loving Antonovich. Why? I don’t beliee in borders, that’s why. I sibscribe*** to the American Indian belief-we are all citizens of the earth (or something like that). This letter is upset me***. Defense of borders cause war. (note to advertiser types: I had to use Wikipedia image moron! So, ugly isn’t it?) Why can’t we respect geographic/cultural identity and not desire to take it over by force? Attraction rather than promotion-ever heard of it?

*An “undervote” occurs when a voter does not cast a vote for a specific contest (ie. a judge) or ballot measure; or when multiple votes are permitted (such as a “vote for no more than seven”) and a voter casts fewer votes than the maximum number allowed. There is no minimum number, so you could conceivably leave every chad a virgin.

PS: This post took more than 5 hours to compile. Who in there right mind would do such a thing?

*** I’m a little drunk.
